The Samsung SDK for the Java ME platform is a collection of tools for developing Mobile Applications for Samsung mobile phones. Samsung SDK is based on Connected Limited Device Configuration (CLDC) and Mobile Information device Profile (MIDP).
It also supports the implementation of Mobile Service Architecture (MSA). The toolkit includes the emulation environments, debug tools, performance optimization tools, documentation, and sample applications.
Furthermore, this development kit will enable developers to create professional mobile applications.
The toolkit is a set of tools for creating MIDP applications. It consists of three main components:
· KToolbar automates many of the tasks involved in creating MIDP applications.
· The emulator is a simulated mobile phone. It is useful for testing MIDP applications.
· A collection of utilities provides other useful functionality, including a text messaging console and cryptographic utilities.

· JSR 257 NFC Support - Samsung SDK 1.2.0 beta release supports JSR 257.
· Contactless Tab in External Event Generator - Contactless Tab has been added in EEG. User can now used this to test and simulate data across applications and Tags, cards.
· Addition of Skins - 5 New Skins have been added in the current beta release. The newly skins added are GT-S5620, GT-S3510, GT-S3370, GT-B3410W, GT-S5230N
· Addition of NFC Skin - GT-S5230N Skin supports NFC JSR 257. User can use this skin in development of NFC application.
· Bug Fixing - Minor bugs have been fixed in the current beta release.
